As a new outdoor season approaches, so does another chapter in my career. I have recently moved to Portland Oregon to train under Jerry Schumacher and Nike's Oregon Track Club. It has been really exciting working with a new group. Eventhough I am the only woman working out with a bunch of "Dudes", it's a great experience! The group has been great and very encouraging to work with. Watching Jerry's crew run so well already this season one can only hope it's contagious! We will see how well all the hard work pays off as I open my season at the Adidas Track Classic on May 16th. I will be competing in my first fresh outdoor 5k in over 2 years, I can't wait!!

Thanks to all my fans, you all make it happen!!

Dream Big,

Shalane Flanagan

Hi Shalane, sorry you didn't run the kind of race you would have liked to had run but for your fans, it was still great getting to see you lace it up again, on tv that is, although I thought espn should have covered more of the race. Keep working hard and inspiring the rest of us dream big!
